Jo Arney,Assistant Professor,University of Wisconsin La Crosse I use YouTube in all of my classes - both online and face-to-face. As a political science and policy professor I like to use short news clips in class realted to current events. One of the uses of YouTube that I really like is for online group discussion. I like to have groups of students watch a short video clip (which can be embedded in the discussion question) and related the objectives for the unit to the video they have watched. I find online discussions to be a lot more lively and interactive by incorporating a video clip from YouTube or Ustream.
